Herman Maltz, the Heracross gijinka, was a kind man, who owned a small grocery store in Goldenrod. He didn’t take shit from anyone, especially shoplifters. Pity on anyone who tried to bring harm to Mr. Maltz or his customers, for the Heracross would literally throw them out of his store if they tried to stir up trouble.
Until he went missing, that is.
It happened so suddenly, one day he closed as usual, and then the next morning he wasn’t there. Mr. Maltz didn’t have any close family, his wife had left him 3 years prior and had no comment on his disappearanc

The skyline had shrunk since he was here last. The once great skyscrapers that he used to see every day were gone, replaced with half finished replacements. Like toy blocks, except made of steel, they would soon reach their former glory.

“I’m just…” Greg chuckled weakly. “Just doing what any ordinary trainer would do… you can let go now.”

There were two things going through Greg’s head. First, he wanted to rent a room at the Pokemon Center and get a good night’s sleep. The second was finding Mark and bashing his head in for “forgetting” about the new gym in Aspertia.
Mark would have to wait, sleep was needed. He wasn’t able to think straight, it was late and he just wanted to fall into bed. Sadly, fate decided that he wasn’t allowed to do that tonight.
The city of Virbank, known for its industrial district and being the home of the most metal Gym Leader in the region. Greg didn’t care about those facts, the center was in view and he

Recently, there had been some changes to the Unova League’s gym roster. With the retirement of Striaton’s Cress and Nacrene’s Lenora, new gym leaders had to be appointed. One of those two new leaders had finished setting up the new gym in Aspertia, and was waiting for his first official challenger.
Well, he would be if his fiancé would stop worrying about him.
